A note from Mr Richardson

As a privately owned business, we have a passion for great British hotels. All of our properties have stunning period architecture that is being lovingly restored. We also have individually appointed bedrooms, fine dining in our restaurants with award winning teams. Our chefs use only the best locally sourced produce, we are committed to providing excellent service and the best possible experience to all of our guests. At Richardson hotels, our team is a family and we look forward to welcoming you, your family and friends – and ensure your stay with us is one where memories are made.

Frequently Asked Questions

Check in from 3pm. You can request early check-in, but this is never guaranteed. If you arrive before 3pm and your room is not ready, you are welcome to store your luggage at reception and make use of our facilities in the meantime. 

Please depart by 11am on your day of departure. You can pay for a late check out until 1pm. This is an additional cost of £25. 

We have ramp access through the main entrance and lifts to all floors.

Full use of all our leisure facilities is included throughout your stay. If you wish to book any treatments with our Spa, this is an additional cost. Please call 01803 296677 to enquire about prices and availability. 

We are dog friendly. We have a limited amount of dog-friendly rooms which must be pre-reserved. Dogs are charged at an additional £20 per dog, per night.

We have free parking on the street outside the hotel on a first-come, first-serve basis. Car parking is now chargeable for all train station spaces and garage spaces at £10 per car, per night. Parking permits are available at the front desk.
